About Us

Aloha Essence officially launched in 2023, but the heart of the brand began years earlier. From an early age, business owner Rachel Cook suffered from sensitivities to generic home and body products, which were full of harmful, irritating chemicals. This set her on an expedition to discover ingredients that would bring her comfort and healing rather than frustration and pain. 

Her desire to literally breathe easier ignited a passion for simple, safe, and high quality home and body products. As she identified natural ingredients that contributed to her healing, she began to experiment with them, creating soaps and wax tarts. She became more familiar with various ingredients and how they complimented each other, and mere experimentation turned into artistry. 

This newfound love for soaps and waxes ignited a desire to share her handmade products with friends and family. For two decades, she enjoyed gifting her creations to her loved ones. It wasn’t until 2023 that she decided to turn her hobby into a business, officially birthing Aloha Essence in Kona, Hawaii. 

Since 2023, many have found joy in bringing Aloha Essence’s handmade soaps and waxes into their homes. Hawaii’s tourists enjoy bringing the scents of the Big Island back home after their memorable vacations. With the launch of the Aloha Essence’s online boutique in 2024, people from all over the United States can now have these luxurious Hawaiian scents shipped directly to them, encouraging them to daydream about flying to the Hawaiian islands, where the warm sand and fresh, salty breeze await their arrival.
